Apple’s App Store crosses 300,000 apps
Apple’s App Store now has more than 300,000 apps as of the past day.
Mobclix’s data shows that in the past 24 hours, Apple added the 300,000th app to its App Store. The number includes both free and paid apps available for downloading. That means that in a little more than two years, Apple has created one of the most population application platforms of all time. Apple crossed 250,000 apps on Aug. 28.
More than 1,000 new apps were added in the past day or so. At the moment, there are 300,975 apps, including 206,828 paid apps and 94,147 free apps. This is yet another significant milestone that shows how far a lead Apple has on others. How long will it be before there are a million apps on the App Store?
